John Adams
Senior Manager
John Adams is a Senior Manager with Cendrowski Corporate Advisors (CCA). John has nearly 25 years of financial services industry experience, having worked in public accounting, investment banking and more recently as a Chief Financial Officer in the insurance industry. In his role at CCA, John focuses on business development activities with insurance companies, governmental organizations, public and private companies, and law firms.
An East Coast transplant to the Chicagoland area in 1981, John was formerly Chief Financial Officer and held other senior financial positions at Old Republic International Corporation, one of the nation’s 50 largest publicly owned insurance organizations. At Old Republic, John was responsible for SEC and statutory filings, internal audit, investor relations, capital raising, rating agency relationships, internal control and risk management policies, credit analysis on large accounts, and reviewing investments and reserves.
Prior to joining Old Republic, John spent ten years as an investment banker primarily for Prudential Securities in Chicago, working on private placements, initial public offerings, acquisitions and divestitures, public offerings of debt and equity securities. He began his business career at Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte) in New York, where he was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
John is a former Scoutmaster and an active current Assistant Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). He holds a B.A. in economics from Williams College in Massachusetts as well as an M.S.A. from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He later earned a Masters in Management (M.M.) from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.
